Use it in a healthy way

Hello Fraands is for friendly conversation: someone to talk to after a long day, before an exam, or when you feel alone. It works best as one good thing in your life, not the only one. This page explains how we keep it healthy for callers and hosts.

Hosts are friends, not partners

Hosts are real, independent people who offer friendly conversation. They are not your girlfriend or boyfriend, and this is not a dating or relationship service. A host being kind to you on a call is their job done well — it is not a promise of love or a future together.

  • Hosts will not flirt, say "I love you", share their number or meet you.
  • Asking a host for these things can lead to a strike.
  • If you notice you are thinking about one host all the time, take a break and talk to people around you too.

Healthy limits

To protect callers and hosts, the service will include limits when calling launches:

  • Time with one host: a daily limit on minutes with the same host, and a short cooling-off gap before calling them again.
  • Daily spending limit: a cap on how much you can spend in a day, and an extra check before a large top-up.
  • Gentle reminders if calls with one host become very long or very frequent.

When a limit applies, you will simply see "This host isn't available right now." It does not mean the host is angry with you or has rejected you. It is a platform rule, the same for everyone.

If you feel very low

Hosts are not counsellors and this is not a crisis service. If you feel hopeless, think about hurting yourself, or feel you cannot go on, please talk to trained people now:

  • Tele-MANAS 14416 — free mental-health support, 24×7, in many Indian languages.
  • 112 — if you or someone else is in danger.

More numbers are on our emergency support page. Telling a host how you feel is never a reason for a strike. A host may share these numbers with you and end the call so you can get real help. That is care, not rejection.

Money and time

Only spend what you can afford. Calls are paid per minute and are not refunded, so set yourself a budget. Unused wallet money is always yours — you can send it back to your UPI ID at any time.

For hosts

Hosts follow our welfare and crisis guide: they spot signs of distress and attachment, share the right helpline, keep clear boundaries, and flag concerns so the platform — not the host — limits contact when needed.
