We do not record calls
Hello Fraands does not record calls and does not store call audio. There is no recording to download, share, leak or listen to later — for you, for the other person or for us.
No human listens
No person at Hello Fraands monitors or listens to live calls. We are a switch: our system rings the host, and once the host accepts it rings the caller and joins the two calls through a platform number, so neither person sees the other's number.
How AI keeps the call safe
While a call is live, our AI follows the conversation in real time. It does not react to single words or keyword lists — it understands the intention of the caller. If it detects harassment, abuse, threats, sexual pressure, or a scam such as asking for an OTP, UPI PIN, card or bank details, it ends the call automatically and flags the account.
The AI looks at the conversation as it happens and does not keep a recording. In the women-only space it is tuned to recognise ordinary health and intimate-wellness discussion, so describing a symptom or a bad experience is not treated as misconduct. A mention of self-harm is never a strike.
What we keep about a call
Only the records needed to run the service, bill fairly and handle complaints: the participants (as account IDs), connection and end times, duration, rate, charge, and whether the call was ended by a person or by a safety action. No audio, no transcript.
Strikes and reviews
An AI safety action ends the call and creates a flag. Our trust & safety team reviews flags and reports before confirming a strike; three confirmed strikes means a permanent ban, and serious cases such as threats, sexual harassment or fraud can be banned straight away. If you think a call was ended or an account restricted unfairly, use grievance redressal.
Your part
Either person can hang up at any time, and pressing # ends the call and blocks the other person. Do not make your own recording of the other person — it breaks the community guidelines. Number masking hides your number, not what you say, so keep your address, workplace, social accounts, OTPs and bank details to yourself.
