Can I talk about periods, PCOS or health topics?

Health talk is normal in the women-only space. Outside it, only hosts who agreed to the topic can talk about it.

Talking about your body can feel hard. On Hello Fraands, there is a safe place for it. This article explains what is fine, and where the limits are.

In the women-only space

In the women-only space, health talk is normal. You can talk about:

  • periods
  • PCOS
  • pregnancy
  • menopause
  • intimate health

Nobody will look at you strangely. The AI is tuned to understand this kind of talk. If you describe a symptom or a bad experience, you will not be flagged. The same is true for the host.

What is still not allowed

Even here, these are not allowed:

  • harassment
  • sexual pressure
  • explicit or erotic talk

Explicit or erotic talk is never allowed, in any lane, with any host.

Outside the women-only space

Sexual or suggestive talk is not allowed on the platform. There is one exception: a real health conversation with a host who has agreed to that topic.

Every host profile shows the topics the host has agreed to talk about. This is called topic consent. It is how you know a host is comfortable.

  • Check the host’s profile first.
  • Talk about a health topic only if it is listed there.
  • If it is not listed, do not bring it up.

An example

Divya has had painful periods for months. She is shy. She goes to the women-only lane and picks a host. She says, “My periods are very painful and irregular. I am scared.” The AI understands this is a health worry, so the call continues. The host listens kindly.

Later, a different caller tries the same topic with a host who did not list it. The host can say no or end the call. That is the host’s right.

This is not medical advice

Hosts are friendly people to talk to. They are not doctors. They do not give medical advice or tell you what medicine to take.

For any health problem, please see a doctor.

If you feel very low or unsafe, you can call Tele-MANAS 14416 (free, 24x7). For danger, call 112. See emergency help.

Will I be flagged if I describe a symptom?

No. In the women-only space the AI is tuned to understand health talk. Describing a symptom or a bad experience will not get you flagged.

Can I talk about health topics with any host?

No. Outside the women-only space, only with hosts who have agreed to that topic. It is shown on their profile.

Is this medical advice?

No. Hosts are not doctors. Please see a doctor for medical advice.
