Hello Fraands has simple rules to keep everyone safe. If someone breaks them, they get a strike. This article explains how strikes and bans work.

How a strike happens

  1. The AI flags a call, or a person reports it.
  2. Our trust and safety team reviews it.
  3. Only after that review is a strike confirmed.

A flag is not a strike. A strike is confirmed only after a person reviews it.

Three strikes

Three confirmed strikes mean a permanent ban.

Here are some things that can lead to a strike:

  • abuse, threats or gaali
  • asking for or sharing phone numbers, WhatsApp, Instagram or UPI IDs
  • arranging to meet
  • selling anything
  • asking for money outside the platform

See the full list in Community Guidelines.

Immediate bans

Some things are too serious to wait for three strikes. These can lead to an immediate ban:

  • threats
  • sexual harassment
  • fraud or scams

What a ban means

A banned account:

  • cannot make or take calls
  • cannot register again with the same phone number

Wallet money is safe

A banned user can still sign in to the dashboard and withdraw wallet balance to their UPI ID. We never take wallet money as a penalty. Unused balance is always yours.

What if there was a mistake?

AI can make mistakes. If you think a strike or ban is wrong, go to grievance page. A person will review it.

Mentioning self-harm is never a strike. We only do a welfare follow-up. If you need help right now, see emergency help.

An example

Sameer keeps asking a host for her WhatsApp number. The host says no. He still asks again. The AI flags the call and the host reports it. Our team reviews it and confirms a strike. If this happens two more times, his account will be banned for good.
