How much will I earn as a host?

You set your own price per minute. Hello Fraands keeps a small share, and the rest is yours. Here is how it works, in plain words.

The simple formula

The platform keeps ₹2 for every minute, plus 40% of the amount above ₹2. The rest goes to you. The 18% GST is already included inside the platform’s share. So you do not pay it again.

Examples for each minute

• ₹5 per minute: you earn ₹1.80
• ₹10 per minute: you earn ₹4.80
• ₹20 per minute: you earn ₹10.80
• ₹30 per minute: you earn ₹16.80

Let us check one. At ₹10 per minute, the amount above ₹2 is ₹8. Forty percent of ₹8 is ₹3.20. Add the ₹2. The platform keeps ₹5.20. You get ₹4.80.

A sample 15-minute call

Rohit from Pune has an exam tomorrow. He calls Meera, who charges ₹10 per minute. They talk for 15 minutes.

• Rohit pays 15 × ₹10 = ₹150
• Meera earns 15 × ₹4.80 = ₹72

Callers pay for each started minute of connected time. If the call never connects, nobody pays anything.

Things to know

• Calls are not guaranteed. Some days are busy and some days are quiet.
• You choose your own price. A higher price can mean fewer calls. A lower price can mean more calls. You can change it as you learn.
• Charging starts only when both of you are connected.

Build your regulars

Good hosts build “regulars”. These are callers who like talking to you and call again, sometimes every week. Be kind, listen well, and be on time. That is how a regular dost forms.
