Are my calls recorded or listened to?

No. We do not record calls, store audio, or let people listen. Here is the small record we keep, and why.

Your talk is yours. Hello Fraands does not record your calls. Nobody listens in.

What we do not do

  • We do not record calls.
  • We do not store call audio.
  • No person monitors or listens to live calls.
  • We do not keep a transcript.

Please do not record the other person yourself either. It is against our rules. See Community Guidelines.

What about the AI?

The AI follows a live call only to spot danger, like abuse or a scam. It ends the call if needed. It does not save the audio. Read how it works in How does AI keep my calls safe?.

What small records we keep

We keep only a few facts about each call:

  • who called whom (as account IDs)
  • the time
  • how long it lasted
  • the price
  • whether a person or a safety action ended the call

That is all. No audio and no transcript.

Why we keep these records

  • Billing. You see every call charge in your wallet history. If you are charged for a call that never connected, we need these facts to put the money back.
  • Complaints. If someone reports a problem, we can check when the call happened and how it ended.

We never sell your data

We never sell personal data. Your legal name, Aadhaar details and phone number are never shown on a profile or shared with the other person.

An example

Meera talks to a host for 20 minutes about a rough day. Later, she asks, “Can someone hear what I said?” The answer is no. Nothing she said was saved. We only kept the time, the length, the price and who ended the call.
